Infantile mistreatment

It is a social, international, present disease in all the sectors and social classes; produced by multichance factors, interperformers and of diverse intensities and times that affect the harmonic development, I integrate and suitably of a minor, compromising his education and consistently his school development with disturbances that put in risk his social life and therefore, his personal conformation and later social and professional.


Therefore; it is a problem of community interest, as what the society in his set has the legal, moral and ethical responsibility of assuming an active protagonist in all his forms, in order to organize and to be faced this problem. Nevertheless, the primary responsibility of answering to the infantile mistreatment takes root in the official organisms to local level of every community and in complementary form in another type of answers that every community, across not governmental groups they have could organize to face to this problem.

A child is ill-treated or suffers abuses when his physical health and his safety or his psychological well-being is situated in danger for the actions inflicted by his parents or by the persons who have his care entrusted. One can produce mistreatment both for action and for omission and for negligence.

It is difficult to distinguish when it he or she finishes the imposition of the discipline by means of physical "reasonable" punishments and when it begins the abuse. The one who uses the physical punishment argues that it he or she does it as last resource, when other less expeditious alternative exactly and that contain major effort on the part of the parents, as the explanations and other punishments or minor threats have demonstrated his inefficiency. It does not have intention of injuring; only it tries to correct an inadequate conduct.

But, with the exception of the " small scourge in time " considered by many parents as necessary, though per vive the social debate in the matter, that is excusable only when the child proves to be refractory to any other form of alteration, the physical punishment is an attempt on the dignity and the auto esteem of the child, and it him can cause serious emotional hurts.
